Looks like this will help tremendously. This might give AMD a chance to come back:

Hey folks,

im new to this forum but i use hotkeynet for a while now and im just running on a windows 7 ultimate version now but my killmutex won't work anymore.

I think i read about a fix with the new version which i tested already but it won't work on my os.

So did i something wrong ? I executed hotkeynet as administrator and i use the command which worked all the the time without any problems.(new version installed)

Thanks in advance,

p.s.: Your work is amazing !

Thanks for the kind words. KillMutex hasn't been updated for Win 7 yet. That can't happen till I buy a new PC with Win 7 on it. I've been dragging my heels on ordering the machine.

Earlier tonight I logged into Newegg to order the parts and freaking Newegg had deleted the cart. It's a big pain in the ass to enter all the parts in the cart because there are so many variations of each one, so it's easy to enter the wrong thing. It took me about two hours to enter the order the first time. I'll try to re-enter everything and place the order tomorrow.

First of all thanks for your prompt answer and you're welcome!

Oh well i see this is pretty not amusing.
If you need any assistance at decision making you can contact me for sure. I am also working as an IT specialist.

You can also decide to not buy a new machine. I would send you a legal professional 32b/64b licence for free if needed. We could call it donation ;-)

Hey thanks. :) But I still need the new machine. The problem is, I only have one PC that's suitable as a development machine, and it's already set up to dual boot XP and Vista. I have to leave both OS's on the machine.

If there were a way to triple boot, I would put Win 7 on the dual-boot machine, but I don't think that's possible.

Unless you know a way?

(I don't want to move the XP stuff into a virtual machine under Win 7 because I've got a huge amount of source code set up to compile under XP exactly as that machine is set up now, and I don't want to move anything.

I already tried debugging KillMutex on Win 7 on that machine in a VMWare virtual machine but it was too slow.

Well it is possible and it ain't that hard to do.
Just create a new partition of 50Gb or so then do a fresh (full) installation of W7 and it will recognize your other OS in the bootloader and give you the option of what to boot into as usual.
No further muss is required.
One thing you got to know is that you must install the "oldest" OS first, else the boot loader will not recognize the newer OSs - so as long as you are installing W7 last, you should have no problem.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. Can you really spare that Win 7 license? I have a copy of the Win 7 Ultimate RTM - would that work?
